Dr. McLeod has been Senior Pastor
at First Presbyterian Church since August 2004. Prior to his move to Raleigh,
he served three churches in South Carolina: in Columbia, Greer, and Sumter.
He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA
and Union Theological Seminary in Richmond.
Ed and his wife Jenny have two children, Randall and Amy, who seem to have
successfully navigated the challenge of being preacher's kids, largely due
to the grace and love of the congregations who helped raise them.
A native North Carolinian, Ed is grateful for the privilege of serving this
congregation in the heart of the Capital City. Building upon a wonderful
legacy that stretches back almost 200 years, his vision for First Presbyterian
Church is that we will be a community that worships joyfully, serves gladly,
and seeks in all that we do to glorify God.

Bob joined the church staff in September 1999, the same week Hurricane Floyd
hit hard. The church is still trying to discern which was an act of God.
Pastoral care is one of Bob’s main interests and responsibilities,
namely working with the deacons and Stephen
Ministers, as well as with various pastoral care committees. New members
usually meet Bob in the Inquirers’ Class,
a get–acquainted series of three meetings for those who are considering
joining the church.
Bob is also responsible for the Wednesday noon service, an outreach for
folks who work downtown.
Some people think Bob’s voice and sense of humor would make for a
good radio announcer. Lucky guess. That’s what he did for some 25
years before going into ministry full–time in 1994.
Amy joined the staff of FPC
in January, 2006. She most recently served as Staff Facilitator for Youth
Ministry at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church, near NC State. The Search
Committee was impressed with her depth and devotion and feels that she brings
a wealth of experience and a deep love of young people to the position.
Amy is excited about the prospect of working with our young people and youth
advisors.
Charlie has degrees from N.C.
State University, Forsyth Community College, and Winston-Salem State University.
Charlie has over 30 years of business experience. He joined the staff at
First Presbyterian Church in March of 1998.
