Exciting book project from the Journey Sunday School Class: copies of an essential collection of prayers of confession and assurances of pardon are available for purchase. All prayers in the collection titled Forgiven: A Yearlong Journey Through Prayers of Confession from the First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh were written by pastors and former pastors of First Presbyterian. Purchase one for a college student, a relative, or a close friend. Read all about it here.
Sept. 24 - Children's worship workshop (for ages 4 - 12) on the topic of Communion. 12:15 - 1:30 in Memorial Hall. A light lunch will be served. Please register here.
Oct. 7, 14, and 28 - Volunteers needed for Habitat for Humanity builds every Saturday morning, as well as Thursdays and Fridays from Sept. 9 to Nov. 11 . Sign up at www.habitatwake.org, and indicate that you are with FPC Raleigh. Contact Carol Ann Moehring or Rob Fields if you have any questions.
Oct. 13 (10am - 12pm) - Flu Shot Clinic in Memorial Hall. Bring medicare and insurance cards with you. For those without medicare or insurance coverage, flu vaccines are $40. Call the church office to reserve a time for your vaccine. Arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete the paperwork.
Oct. 27 (11am - 2pm) - BBQ Fundraiser in Memorial Hall
$10 plate includes Cooper's BBQ, slaw, potato salad, hushpuppies, pork skins, dessert, and tea. Casserole, Stew, and Bake Sale will be located in Memorial Hall with silent auction in the Edge Lobby. Tickets available until Oct. 22 on Sunday mornings in the Edge Lobby or by contacting Susan Hammer.
